Realty Plans is hiring a Real Estate Photographer / Drone Operator based out of Orange, CT to shoot property photography, videography, and aerial drone footage for real estate marketing campaigns across Connecticut and Westchester County, NY. This role sits at the intersection of commercial photography and video production, with deliverables that include HDR stills, drone reels, and floor plan documentation for active real estate listings. It suits an independent shooter who is comfortable owning a full production workflow from setup to final output without a crew behind them.

About the Role

Working as an independent contractor under the Realty Plans banner, this person operates as a one-person production unit on residential and commercial property shoots across New Haven, Hartford, Fairfield, Litchfield, Middlesex, and Westchester counties. A typical day involves scheduling back-to-back property shoots, executing interior and exterior photography with professional lighting, capturing drone footage for aerial real estate videography, and producing floor plan documentation on site. The production output feeds directly into real estate marketing media packages, so turnaround and technical consistency matter as much as the images themselves.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot HDR interior and exterior photography of residential and commercial properties using a full-frame camera system with wide-angle lenses in the 17-35mm range.
• Capture aerial drone photography and videography for real estate listings, operating within FAA guidelines and applicable airspace regulations.
• Produce property video walkthroughs using professional-grade sliders, dollies, and gimbals to deliver smooth, marketable footage.
• Create accurate floor plan drawings on site using a tablet-based workflow, with training provided by Realty Plans on their specific methodology.
• Manage your own shoot schedule by submitting availability directly to the Realty Plans customer success team, who assign jobs accordingly.
• Maintain and transport all required production equipment reliably, including tripods, strobes or speedlights, and a drone rig, across a multi-county service area.

What You Bring

• 2 to 3 years of experience in commercial or real estate photography and video production.
• Working knowledge of HDR photography techniques and post-production workflow for property images.
• Hands-on drone videography and photography experience with professional-grade equipment.
• Ownership of or access to a full production kit including full-frame camera, wide-angle lens, gimbal, slider, dolly, and on-camera lighting.
• Reliable transportation to cover shoots across multiple counties in Connecticut and New York.
