About the Role

Automotive Studio operates as a creative agency within Haymarket Media, producing video campaigns and digital content for major automotive clients alongside editorial brands including Autocar, What Car?, and Classic & Sports Car. The Videographer, Automotive is the primary camera and edit operator on MG Motor UK content, working across social-first video production, long-form brand films, and platform-specific formats. A typical week moves between studio shoots showcasing vehicle design, on-location driving sequences, and post-production sessions delivering graded and finished assets to deadline.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, storyboard, and shoot video content in studio and on location, including vehicle walk-arounds, driving experiences, and feature-led brand films for digital distribution.
• Operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment throughout the full production workflow, maintaining consistent technical standards across all formats.
• Edit long and short-form content through to final delivery, applying colour grading, sound design, music licensing, and motion graphics in line with the MG Motor UK brand.
• Adapt footage for platform-specific requirements, including vertical video formats, varied aspect ratios, and social-first pacing for channels such as Instagram, YouTube, and TikTok.
• Direct and coordinate studio crew, lighting technicians, on-screen talent, models, and influencers during shoots to keep production running safely and on schedule.
• Manage, organise, and archive digital video assets to ensure content remains accessible and available for future campaign use.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience as a self-shooting videographer across branded content, commercial video production, or automotive media.
• Proficiency in professional editing software, with strong skills in colour grading and audio post-production.
• A working knowledge of studio and location lighting setups for vehicle and product cinematography.
• Experience producing content optimised for social media platforms, including vertical video and short-form formats.
• The ability to manage multiple productions simultaneously and adapt to changing priorities on shoot days.
