Job Position(s): Junior Social Video Editor
Project Type: Short Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Wild Nutrition is hiring a Junior Social Video Editor based in Manchester, England, to join their in-house content team. This role sits within the Brand and Creative department, with output focused entirely on short-form and long-form social video across TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and LinkedIn. It suits an editor early in their career who has already been cutting social-first content, whether through freelance work, personal channels, or a previous in-house or agency role.

About the Role

The Junior Social Video Editor works directly alongside the Content, Brand, and Creative teams on campaign assets, creator footage, and organic social content as part of a structured social media production workflow. Day to day, this means taking raw footage and transforming it into platform-native edits with captions, motion graphics, sound design, and transitions built for mobile-first viewing. The role also involves asset management, supporting content shoots, and feeding learnings from performance data back into future edits.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut short-form social video content optimised for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube Shorts, following platform-specific best practices for hook, pacing, and format.
  • Add captions, motion graphics, and sound design to edits to improve retention and engagement performance across social channels.
  • Repurpose existing campaign video assets into multiple social-first formats and versions to extend content reach across platforms.
  • Organise footage, manage digital assets, and assist with content capture on shoot days as part of the broader content production workflow.
  • Monitor content performance metrics and apply those learnings to inform editorial decisions on future social video output.
  • Contribute ideas for new content formats, series, and campaigns through regular creative ideation sessions with the content team.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable experience editing social video content, from personal projects, freelance work, or a prior in-house or agency role.
  • Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, CapCut, or comparable video editing software.
  • Solid understanding of what makes short-form video perform well, including pacing, composition, and platform-specific audience behaviour.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects across a busy content calendar without dropping quality.
  • Basic motion graphics skills and familiarity with AI-assisted editing tools are a plus.

Why This Role

Wild Nutrition operates in a growing wellness category with a content team that is building out its social video production capability, which means genuine room to develop skills and take on more creative responsibility over time. The role comes with private health insurance, a flexible hybrid working model, enhanced leave, and Summer Fridays. This is a junior position with real editorial ownership, not a support role that sits on the edges of the social media production process.

Apply now for the Junior Social Video Editor role at Wild Nutrition and start building your social content career with a brand that takes its creative output seriously.
