Key Responsibilities

• Cut breaking news clips to publication-ready standard under tight editorial deadlines, prioritising speed without sacrificing accuracy or clarity.
• Edit studio-produced shows in a TV-style post-production workflow, handling structure, pacing, and graphics integration from assembly through to final delivery.
• Produce platform-specific social media edits for Facebook, X, and TikTok, applying native format requirements and audience expectations for each channel.
• Edit interview content captured both on location and via remote platforms such as Zoom, managing variable audio and visual quality in the edit.
• Deliver long-form video edits optimised for YouTube, including pacing adjustments and format considerations appropriate to that platform’s audience retention patterns.
• Operate a camera and capture footage when required, supporting the team across both studio and field production.

What You Bring

• Expert-level proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, with a demonstrable track record in a news or digital video post-production environment.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Photoshop for title cards, thumbnails, and on-screen graphic assets.
• Practical camera operation skills and experience capturing footage across studio and interview settings.
• A solid grounding in current affairs, sport, showbiz, and TV, sufficient to make editorial judgements during the edit.
