The role is hybrid, based out of WNET’s offices at 825 Eighth Avenue in Manhattan.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit news and public affairs video for YouTube-first and social-first distribution, including platform-specific cuts for Instagram and TikTok.
• Manage media storage systems and maintain organized archives of raw footage and finished projects across the post-production pipeline.
• Oversee quality control on all deliverables, including audio mix, color correction, and adherence to platform video specs.
• Juggle multiple concurrent edits and maintain on-time delivery across a rolling production schedule.
• Deliver finished video content directly to channel managers using remote content delivery tools and software.
• Apply animation skills to enhance social video content where needed.

What You Bring

• A minimum of four years of experience editing video for YouTube-based news programs or journalism-focused social media channels.
• Proficiency with Adobe Premiere and the full Adobe Suite is required for this role.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt and reformat edits across multiple social media platforms and their respective spec requirements.
• Working knowledge of media management tools used in a professional post-production environment.
• Technical proficiency in remote content delivery workflows.
• A genuine commitment to journalistic standards including accuracy, fairness, and impartiality.
