About the Role
The Production Innovation team at Disney Entertainment Television works across creative, production, and technology departments to test and scale new tools that affect how content gets made. As the Disney Entertainment Television Production Innovation Intern, you will support an internal Innovation Lab, contribute to cross-functional pilots, and help track ongoing technology initiatives across DET’s production slate. This is an on-site, full-time position running approximately August/September 2026 through January 2027, reporting directly to the Manager of Production Innovation.
Key Responsibilities

- Maintain team trackers, databases, and documentation used to monitor technology pilots and active workstreams across post-production and production workflows.
- Prepare presentation materials, research summaries, and internal communications for stakeholders across creative, production, and technology departments.
- Research emerging production technologies, industry tools, and trends in episodic television to support the team’s evaluation and experimentation process.
- Attend team meetings, capture notes, and track follow-ups across multiple concurrent projects within the production innovation pipeline.
- Assist with general operational needs, including managing internal resources and supporting workspace functions within the Innovation Lab.
What You Bring
- Junior or senior standing at an accredited college or university, with coursework in Film/Television, Media Studies, Communications, or Technology preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Teams, with familiarity in project trackers or collaboration tools such as Airtable or SharePoint considered a plus.
- Hands-on experience with AI tools, creative software, or emerging media technologies is a strong advantage.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to produce clear documentation for cross-departmental audiences.
- Unrestricted work authorization and the ability to work on-site in Burbank, CA, Monday through Friday for the full duration of the internship.
Why This Role
Disney Entertainment Television produces across a broad slate of scripted and unscripted content, and the Production Innovation team has direct visibility into how emerging tools are reshaping episodic television production across that entire output. The Disney Entertainment Television Production Innovation Intern role pays $22.50 per hour, with select benefits potentially included as part of the compensation package.
