Project Type: Feature Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Rodeo FX is hiring a Post-Production Producer for their Advertising Department in Toronto. This role sits at the center of the studio’s Toronto ADS team, responsible for producing VFX advertising projects from bid through delivery, including managing post-production workflow, budgets, and client sessions on the floor. It suits a producer with hands-on experience in VFX post-production who is equally comfortable in a client-facing session and a resource planning meeting.

About the Role

The Post-Production Producer works within Rodeo FX’s global advertising division, reporting to the Executive Producer in Toronto and collaborating with crew planning, department heads, and artists across projects. Day-to-day, this person is managing VFX schedules, tracking budgets in Shotgrid, crewing up confirmed projects, and maintaining direct communication with advertising clients throughout production. When the slate requires it, this role also steps into Film and Episodic VFX projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Participate in the bidding process for advertising opportunities, contributing to quotes alongside the Executive Producer and the global ADS team.
  • Build and manage post-production schedules for each advertising project, adjusting timelines and budgets as client requests and scope changes come in.
  • Handle crew planning tasks including sketching bookings for potential projects, confirming artist bookings, and attending the weekly ADS resource meeting.
  • Oversee Shotgrid to ensure tasks are created and assigned, artist estimates are entered, and timelogs are current across all active projects.
  • Set up grading and online session workflows in collaboration with relevant departments, and organize kick-off meetings with heads of department.
  • Run post-mortem meetings, flag areas for improvement, and support business development initiatives with the Executive Producer.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience producing VFX or post-production projects in an advertising or commercial context.
  • Working knowledge of Shotgrid for project tracking, scheduling, and budget management across a VFX pipeline.
  • Familiarity with grading and online post-production workflows in a studio environment.
  • A track record of managing client relationships directly during studio sessions and through the full production cycle.
  • Experience contributing to bid processes and building quotes for VFX work.

Why This Role

Rodeo FX operates across advertising, episodic television, and feature film production, giving producers on the ADS team real exposure to a broad slate of work out of a studio with an established international reputation. The Toronto office is a growing production hub, and this permanent role carries genuine scope for involvement in business development alongside day-to-day producing responsibilities.
