Senior Sound Mixer

About the Role

The Senior Sound Mixer works inside an established post-production workflow, handling final mix on projects that span episodic television and feature film. You will work alongside supervising sound editors, directors, and producers to shape the final soundtrack from pre-mix through deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform final mixing for feature films and episodic television, balancing dialogue, music, and effects to meet theatrical and streaming platform specifications.
• Build and maintain Dolby Atmos, 5.1, and 7.1 surround sound mixes in compliance with international loudness standards and platform-specific technical requirements.
• Operate Pro Tools HDX and mixing consoles such as the Avid S6, managing session architecture and integration within the broader post-production workflow.
• Attend spotting sessions and mix reviews, offering informed creative input and guiding clients through revision rounds without losing production momentum.
• Troubleshoot complex audio issues across playback environments, resolving technical problems that arise during mixing and quality control stages.
• Mentor junior re-recording mixers and sound engineers, contributing to department best practices and consistent output quality across projects.

What You Bring

• Five or more years of experience as a Sound Mixer or Re-Recording Mixer on feature films and high-end television series.
• Expert-level proficiency in Pro Tools HDX and control surfaces such as the Avid S6.
• Proven credits on professionally distributed content with demonstrated knowledge of Dolby Atmos and immersive audio workflows.
• Solid working knowledge of ADR, foley, and dialogue editing processes as they feed into the final mix stage.
• Strong ability to manage multiple revision cycles under deadline pressure while maintaining technical accuracy across all deliverable formats.
