Mikros Animation is hiring a Senior VFX Producer for a permanent position based in Montreal, Canada. This role sits at the centre of VFX production management, owning the budget, schedule, and client relationship across every show in the pipeline from bid through delivery. It suits an experienced production professional who has shepherded complex VFX projects end to end and knows how to keep a production on track without losing the client along the way.

About the Role

The Senior VFX Producer works closely with the VFX Supervisor and department heads to manage the full production lifecycle across feature film or episodic television projects handled by Mikros Animation. Day to day, this means tracking shots in ShotGrid, fielding client change requests, forecasting budget and schedule risk before it becomes a problem, and keeping the production team aligned with the original quote and delivery plan. This is a hands-on production management role, not a figurehead position.

Key Responsibilities

• Partner with the VFX Supervisor and Business Development to evaluate costs and prepare bids for incoming projects, applying real knowledge of VFX pipeline requirements and resource costs.
• Maintain ShotGrid as the live record of schedule and budget status, ensuring shot-level tracking reflects current production reality at all times.
• Manage ongoing client communication throughout production, providing shot status updates and presenting solutions and revised bids when scope changes arise.
• Assign key talent to projects in consultation with department managers, balancing skill sets and experience against the specific demands of each show.
• Lead mid-production and post-mortem reviews, identifying workflow inefficiencies and implementing process improvements for future projects.
• Conduct performance reviews for the production team, make recommendations on compensation and promotion, and mentor junior producers by sharing practical production knowledge.

What You Bring

• Several years of experience producing VFX projects in a senior capacity, with credits across feature film production or high-volume episodic television.
• Hands-on proficiency with ShotGrid as a primary production tracking and scheduling tool.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multi-department budgets and catch financial risk early in the post-production workflow.
• Experience working directly with clients on scope changes, including building revised bids under deadline pressure.
• Fluency in how VFX departments are structured, including the working relationship between producers, supervisors, and artists on a studio floor.
