Amazon MGM Studios is hiring a Sr. Manager, Solutions Architecture, Media, Entertainment and Sports based in Santa Monica, CA. This role leads a team of Solutions Architects embedded in the Media, Entertainment, Games and Sports vertical, driving cloud infrastructure strategy for major streaming, broadcast, and content production accounts. It is built for a technical leader who has spent real time in media and entertainment workflows and knows how to translate that experience into architecture decisions at scale.

About the Role

This position sits within AWS’s industry-facing organization and owns the technical relationship with some of the largest accounts in the streaming and broadcast space, including work that touches content delivery pipelines, media workflows, and sports analytics platforms. Day to day, the Sr. Manager, Solutions Architecture is running account strategy sessions, coaching architects on media-specific cloud solutions, and sitting across the table from customer executives on complex digital transformation engagements. The scope spans production technology, post-production workflow, live event delivery, and gaming infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a team of Solutions Architects assigned to strategic media, entertainment, and sports accounts, including performance management and career development.
• Build and execute technical account strategy across content production, broadcast distribution, streaming infrastructure, and sports data analytics.
• Own executive-level technical relationships with customer decision makers across the media and entertainment ecosystem.
• Guide cloud migration and content delivery optimization initiatives for accounts operating at broadcast and streaming scale.
• Partner with AWS media product teams on feature prioritization and roadmap alignment specific to media workflows and production technology.
• Develop thought leadership materials including case studies and whitepapers grounded in real media and entertainment use cases.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience leading solutions architecture or production technology teams within a media, entertainment, or broadcast organization.
• Deep knowledge of cloud-based media workflows, including streaming delivery, post-production pipeline architecture, or broadcast playout systems.
• A track record of managing technical relationships with senior stakeholders at studios, networks, or sports organizations.
• Experience hiring and developing architects or engineers in a matrixed, customer-facing environment.
• Familiarity with the full content lifecycle from production through distribution at episodic television or feature film scale.
