Job Date: Full Time

Disney is hiring a Post Production Supervisor for a short-term engagement at Disney Television Animation, based in Glendale, CA. This role sits at the center of the animation post-production workflow, managing schedules, sound supervision, and final delivery across domestic titles for one of the most established kids and family content studios in the business. It suits an experienced post supervisor who knows how to keep episodic animation on track from editorial through mastering without losing the thread on retakes, mix schedules, or delivery specs.

About the Role

Disney Television Animation has more than forty years of history producing kids and family content across 2D, CG, and stop-motion formats, and this Post Production Supervisor role supports that output directly. Day to day, you are managing post schedules, running weekly crew check-ins, attending sound mixes, and acting as the primary studio contact for production teams working on both internal and hybrid shows. The work touches every stage of the animation post-production pipeline, from editor and technical director support through final delivery specs and mastering coordination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain post-production schedules for episodic animation series, flagging any retake percentages or workflow issues that could affect air dates or delivery deadlines.
  • Lead post kick-off meetings and weekly check-ins with producers, showrunners, network executives, casting, music, mastering, and third-party studios.
  • Oversee sound supervision by coordinating SFX spotting sessions, previews, and final mixes with audio vendors, ensuring all casting, music, and editorial elements are stage-ready before each session.
  • Set up each show with the required software tools, including PIX, Scenechronize, and Media Monorail, working alongside the mastering department to confirm systems are running correctly for editors and TDs.
  • Manage retake sessions in coordination with producers, tracking facilitation of work to in-house Technical Directors to keep the pipeline moving.
  • Serve as the post contact for hybrid and third-party productions, navigating delivery requirements and maintaining communication between internal teams and outside animation studios.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience as a post production supervisor on animated television series, with a working knowledge of both long-form and short-form episodic formats.
  • Fluency in SD and HD delivery standards, aspect ratios, and distribution codecs used in digital television.
  • Hands-on experience with post sound design and mixing workflows, including SFX spotting, M and E tracks, and final mix deliverables.
  • Familiarity with production management platforms including PIX, Scenechronize, and Media Monorail.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple shows and crews under firm delivery schedules.

Why This Role

Disney Television Animation is one of the few studios with a production slate that spans nearly every format in animation, giving a post supervisor exposure to a genuinely broad range of workflows and creative teams. This is a short-term position, making it a direct way to build a credit at a major animation studio with a long track record in kids and family content. The role carries real responsibility from day one, with direct access to showrunners, network executives, and senior post leadership.
