Tencent is hiring an AI Script Editor and Screenwriter for its WorkSolo creator platform, based in Los Angeles, CA. This role sits at the intersection of script development and AI workflow engineering, responsible for evaluating AI-generated content quality and shaping the narrative output of an AI-native content creation tool built for international audiences. It is the right fit for a working screenwriter who has already built their own AI-assisted writing workflow and wants to apply that craft at a platform level.

About the Role

WorkSolo is a professional creation platform designed for independent creators, studios, and content professionals working with AI-native production pipelines. The AI Script Editor and Screenwriter works across script development and content quality, spending their days reviewing AI-generated scripts, designing prompt engineering frameworks, and collaborating with agent engineers to refine the end-to-end content generation workflow. The focus is on overseas short-form and long-form narrative content, with a specific eye on what plays for Western streaming and social video audiences.

Key Responsibilities

• Establish quality benchmarks and evaluation frameworks for AI-generated scripts, measuring narrative structure, emotional resonance, and audience engagement across episodic and short-form formats.
• Design and iterate on end-to-end content generation workflows in direct collaboration with agent engineers, building feedback loops that systematically improve AI output at the scene, dialogue, and storyline level.
• Translate professional screenwriting craft into structured, reusable prompt engineering patterns and workflow templates for use across the WorkSolo platform.
• Review, edit, and raise AI-generated scripts to professional production standards, ensuring cultural authenticity and pacing appropriate for Western streaming platforms including Netflix, Hulu, and YouTube.
• Apply knowledge of international content ecosystems, including short-form drama platforms such as Webtoon, Wattpad, and Radish, to shape plot structure and character arc development.
• Document skill learnings and build a scalable creative knowledge base that supports the broader content and engineering team.

What You Bring

• One to five years of screenwriting experience for overseas short dramas, films, or series, with at least one produced and released overseas credit required.
• Hands-on fluency with SOTA models including GPT-4, Claude, and Gemini as applied to creative writing and AI-assisted script development workflows.
• A documented personal prompt library and AI-assisted writing workflow that demonstrates a systematic approach to AI co-creation.
• Native-level English writing ability with demonstrated capacity to produce scripts that read as authentically Western in voice, tone, and cultural reference.
• Familiarity with short-form vertical drama formats, interactive storytelling, or AI-generated visual narrative content is a strong bonus.

Tencent is expanding WorkSolo globally, and this hire will have direct influence over how AI-generated storytelling is defined and standardized for international markets, a rare position in an emerging discipline where the norms are still being written. The expected base pay range for this position is $97,500.00 to $183,500.00 per year, with eligibility for a sign-on payment, relocation package, restricted stock units, medical, dental, vision, life and disability benefits, 401(k) participation, and 15 to 25 days of vacation annually depending on tenure.
