This role sits within the Research team and owns the full marketing measurement function across AMC Networks’ portfolio of streaming services, including AMC+, Shudder, Acorn TV, and ALLBLK, translating subscriber data into media spend decisions that drive acquisition and retention. It suits a senior marketing science professional who has built and defended measurement frameworks inside a subscription television or direct-to-consumer media business.

About the Role

The Director of Marketing & Growth Analytics serves as the primary analytical partner to Performance and Lifecycle Marketing, working across a streaming portfolio that competes in both genre and general entertainment subscription categories. Day-to-day work spans hands-on SQL and Python querying, MMM and MTA model validation against first-party subscriber data, and designing incrementality tests that ground media optimization in real outcomes. This is not a reporting role, it is a decision-making infrastructure role with direct exposure to senior leadership.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and lead the internal marketing analytics strategy and measurement roadmap, establishing AMC Networks’ methodology for media effectiveness across streaming and cable properties.
  • Validate and evolve MMM and MTA outputs against first-party subscriber data, challenging agency assumptions and driving methodology improvements tied to real subscriber outcomes.
  • Design and commission geo holdouts, lift studies, and matched market experiments to test media incrementality and inform spend allocation across subscription television campaigns.
  • Support retention and CRM media teams with audience targeting strategy, experimental design, and measurement of churn intervention programs across the streaming portfolio.
  • Define marketing data infrastructure requirements in partnership with BI, specifying the connections between media exposure and subscriber behavior needed for accurate attribution.
  • Synthesize complex quantitative analysis into executive-ready recommendations, presenting findings verbally and visually to senior leadership across the organization.

What You Bring

  • 10 or more years in marketing analytics, marketing science, or media measurement, with direct experience in subscription or direct-to-consumer media preferred.
  • Deep expertise in MMM, MTA, incrementality testing, experimental design, and causal inference methodologies.
  • Proficiency in SQL and Python, with substantial experience working with big data infrastructure in a streaming television or subscription media environment.
  • Familiarity with Meridian or comparable Bayesian MMM frameworks.
  • A relevant degree in Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Marketing, or a related field is preferred.
