Tekton is hiring an Ecommerce Photographer and Videographer based in Grand Rapids, Ohio. This role sits within Tekton’s in-house creative studio, producing high-volume product photography and video content for ecommerce platforms, print catalogs, and trade show materials. It’s a strong fit for a studio photographer with hands-on tool knowledge who can move between still photography and video production without missing a beat.

About the Role

Working out of Tekton’s on-site photo studio, this person owns the full product photography workflow from sample intake through final asset delivery. Day-to-day work means shooting large volumes of hand tools to consistent brand specifications, retouching and processing raw files, and producing video content that demonstrates product function and showcases real-world professional use. The role bridges ecommerce photography production and short-form video work, requiring fluency in both disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Execute high-volume studio photography across standardized front, side, top, bottom, and perspective views, maintaining repeatable lighting and angle specifications for ecommerce platform delivery.
• Apply focus stacking, light bouncing, and color card techniques to accurately render materials including mirror chrome, satin nickel, high-gloss plastics, and high-visibility fabrics.
• Retouch, color correct, and export raw files in Photoshop and Lightroom to final specifications for Tekton.com and third-party ecommerce platforms.
• Shoot and edit video content including product feature demonstrations and professional user profiles, handling color grading, sound design, motion graphics, and captioning in Premiere Pro.
• Manage product samples through the complete photo production cycle, maintain organized asset archives, and upload final files to web platforms.
• Select appropriate lenses and studio lighting setups for each product type, and maintain and expand the studio equipment inventory as needed.

What You Bring

• Minimum three years of experience in a professional ecommerce studio photography environment with a high-volume product workflow.
• Hands-on proficiency with Sony camera systems, studio lighting, tethering setups, Capture One, Lightroom, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro.
• Demonstrated experience shooting and editing video content, including motion graphics and post-production sound.
• Working knowledge of hand tools, either professionally or personally, sufficient to identify and capture each tool’s key functions and features.
• Ability to manage large asset libraries with consistent file naming and archiving standards across an active ecommerce production pipeline.
