About the Role

Reporting to the Assistant Vice Chancellor for Strategic Marketing and Communications, this Videographer serves as AUM’s lead video content creator, which means the production workflow runs through you. On any given week, that might mean scripting and shooting a student success story, cutting a recruitment spot for digital advertising, and providing event coverage at commencement or an athletics game. The role demands fluency across short-form and long-form video production, with deliverables formatted for Instagram, YouTube, broadcast, and web.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, shoot, and edit professional video content across marketing, recruitment, fundraising, and athletics, managing each project from concept development through final delivery.
• Develop scripts, storyboards, and interview questions in collaboration with university departments to build stories that accurately represent the AUM experience.
• Handle all post-production work including color correction, audio enhancement, motion graphics, captioning, and visual effects using professional editing software.
• Capture photography as needed to support integrated marketing campaigns alongside primary video production responsibilities.
• Maintain and operate professional video, audio, and lighting equipment, and manage the digital asset archive and project file library.
• Support livestreaming and provide video and photography coverage at university events including orientation, commencement, athletics, and donor functions.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in Film Production, Digital Media, Communications, Multimedia Production, or a closely related field.
• At least two years of professional videography or multimedia storytelling experience, with three or more years preferred.
• A portfolio that demonstrates end-to-end video production workflow, from pre-production planning through post-production finishing.
• Experience in higher education, agency, or media production environments is a strong advantage.
• FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification, or the ability to obtain it, is preferred for aerial production work.
