Disney is hiring a Production Analyst to join their Disney Entertainment Television finance team in Burbank, CA. This role sits within the studio finance infrastructure that supports episodic television production across labels including FX, 20th Television, National Geographic, and Disney Branded Television, handling the vendor management, payroll processing, and audit support that keeps production accounting operations running. It suits someone early in their production finance career who wants to build fluency across the full back-end of television production at scale.

About the Role

The Production Analyst works inside the DETV Finance group, supporting production accounting teams across a broad slate of scripted and unscripted television content. Day-to-day work involves maintaining a centralized vendor database, processing development payroll, and coordinating 1099 filings with entertainment payroll providers Entertainment Partners and Cast and Crew. This is a staff-level position that touches multiple corners of studio finance and offers real exposure to how a major television studio manages its financial infrastructure across dozens of productions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer and maintain the centralized vendor database by reviewing, validating, and processing new vendor requests and updates submitted by production accounting teams across the DET portfolio.
  • Support guild and participation audits by gathering and organizing requested documentation accurately and within tight timelines.
  • Process weekly development payroll for workers tied to overall development deals and stock footage librarians, and prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Partner annually with production accounting teams to validate compensation data before submitting to Entertainment Partners and Cast and Crew for 1099 processing.
  • Research and respond to ad hoc, time-sensitive requests that require pulling and analyzing specific financial data to support urgent business needs across television production operations.
  • Identify opportunities to improve existing processes and workflows within the production finance function.

What You Bring

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Economics is preferred, with 1 to 2 years of relevant experience in production finance or studio accounting.
  • Working knowledge of production accounting processes and procedures as they apply to episodic television.
  • Familiarity with EP and Cast and Crew software suites, as well as SAP.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities accurately under deadline pressure.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, with a process improvement mindset that translates to real workflow changes.

Why This Role

Disney Entertainment Television oversees one of the largest television production slates in the industry, and this position gives a production finance professional direct exposure to how that infrastructure operates from the inside. The hiring range for this position in California is $79,100.00 to $96,500.00 per year, with potential bonus and long-term incentive units in addition to a full benefits package. For someone looking to build a long-term career in television production finance, the breadth of the DET portfolio and the depth of the studio’s finance operations make this a substantive next step.
