Producer

Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a Producer for its CNN Global Productions team, based in Hong Kong at 41 Heung Yip Road. This role sits within CNN’s feature content division, where the Producer owns the full production pipeline across 30-minute TV documentaries, digital long-form features, and social video, often within sponsored series tied to defined audience KPIs. It suits a working journalist with real multiplatform credits who is equally comfortable scripting a documentary sequence and writing a 1,500-word digital feature.

About the Role

The Producer reports to an Executive Producer and works across CNN’s portfolio of sponsored content series, collaborating with regional bureaus, on-air talent, and concept development teams to bring global stories to television and digital audiences. Day-to-day work spans location production logistics, scriptwriting, editorial publishing, and social content creation, often running against tight broadcast and campaign deadlines. This is a multiplatform production role where output ranges from photo essays and interactives to fully shot and edited documentary television.

Key Responsibilities

• Produce original feature content across TV documentary, digital publishing, and social video formats while meeting CNN’s editorial standards and Ofcom compliance requirements.
• Conceive and write story treatments for sponsored series, working with Concept Development teams to pitch new series proposals to internal stakeholders.
• Coordinate all production logistics and scheduling for location shoots, including travel across international bureaus to capture stories on the ground.
• Script and cut editorial video features in partnership with camera operators and video editors, taking projects from field production through to broadcast delivery.
• Create stand-alone digital content including long-form articles, infographics, image galleries, and social formats that contribute to sponsorship KPI delivery and audience growth targets.
• Apply S and P and Ofcom guidelines across all content, ensuring CNN’s editorial processes are followed from development through publication.
