About the Role
Reporting to the Director of Contract Administration, this position supports development and production activity across animated series and television movies, working closely with Business Affairs, Residuals, Finance, and Casting. Day-to-day, the Manager, Contract Administration (20th Television) is the operational hub for deal point entry, option notices, pilot script payments, and WGA reporting, touching nearly every above-the-line transaction on a given project. The role carries real decision-making authority and serves as the administration lead on larger, more complex projects within the animation studio slate.
Key Responsibilities
- Administer above-the-line talent agreements for animation television development and production, including deal summaries, database entry, and contract interpretation.
- Track options across active projects in database systems, distribute reminder notices to relevant departments, and process option payments and letters on schedule.
- Draft, process, and distribute series EWA agreements and payments to both internal stakeholders and external parties.
- Maintain WGA worklists for active animated series, submitting weekly reports to the Guild and processing character payments, program fees, agency package fees, and royalty payments.
- Collect start paperwork for new talent hires and process pilot script development payments in coordination with production and Business Affairs.
- Research ad-hoc queries and produce reports for Business Affairs, Legal Affairs, Labor, and Finance, while troubleshooting database discrepancies with IT partners.
What You Bring
- Minimum four years of entertainment industry experience administering talent agreements, including option tracking, deal term analysis, and database entry.
- Working knowledge of animation agreements and WGA guild compliance within episodic television production.
- Demonstrated ability to manage a high volume of active projects with accuracy and sound independent judgment.
- Experience interfacing with talent agents, managers, and guild representatives on contract and payment matters.
- Strong communication skills and comfort working across multiple departments simultaneously in an animation studio setting.
