About the Role

The Manager, Distribution Planning & Analysis operates inside Disney’s global distribution function, working across film and series content licensed to third-party streaming platforms worldwide. Day-to-day work spans content availability tracking, deal valuation, rights management system entry, and cross-departmental coordination with legal, accounting, and international sales. The role also carries direct responsibility for managing content slates for branded cable channels in Disney’s India joint venture, including Disney Channel and National Geographic.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage deal analysis and content valuation for global SVOD and AVOD clients, including financial modeling and comparable deal analysis to support licensing negotiations.
• Track and interpret complex content holdbacks, underlying rights restrictions, music clearance issues, and MVPD/BDU availability windows across international territories.
• Administer all executed deals in Disney’s rights management system, including license fee calculations, invoice preparation, start date notices, and asset delivery coordination.
• Prepare deal summaries and negotiation materials for senior executive review and decision-making across multi-region licensing activity.
• Produce yearly availability reports and manage current content pipeline communications for local cable channel partners in the India joint venture.
• Contribute to strategic projects including alternative distribution modeling, long-range plan presentations, and market trend analysis in partnership with the research and finance teams.

What You Bring

• Five or more years working in the media and entertainment industry, with at least three years of direct media distribution experience.
• At least one year of management experience leading projects or direct reports across cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated ability to interpret and analyze content licensing contracts, including rights restrictions and holdback structures common in episodic television and feature film distribution.
• Experience producing executive-level presentations and financial analysis within a studio or streaming distribution context.
• Highly organized approach to managing multiple active deals, territory accounts, and post-sale workstreams concurrently.
