Videomaker & video editor freelance

Mambo, the content production house of The Next Generation Platform group, is looking for a freelance videomaker and video editor based in or able to work from Milano. This role sits at the intersection of production and post-production, covering everything from on-set shooting through to social media delivery across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube. It suits a versatile operator who is equally comfortable behind a camera and in an edit suite, and who understands how content performs across different digital platforms.

About the Role

Mambo works with over 100 brands across food and beverage, automotive, fashion, pharma, and digital services, producing social-first content at scale from its Milano and Barcelona offices. The freelance videomaker and video editor will move through the full production workflow, from shoot days using both professional cameras and smartphones, through to edit, color, and audio finishing. On any given week this could mean a product shoot for a fashion client in the morning and a TikTok edit for an F&B brand in the afternoon.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate camera on video shoots using both professional broadcast equipment and smartphone-based production setups, adapting to different formats and client aesthetics.
• Edit short-form and long-form content through post-production workflow using Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or CapCut depending on the deliverable.
• Handle color correction and audio editing to bring cuts up to broadcast and social delivery standards.
• Produce platform-optimized edits for Instagram Reels, TikTok, and YouTube, matching native format requirements and pacing expectations for each channel.
• Apply AI tools, including ChatGPT and similar platforms, to support creative development and accelerate content production processes.
• Travel to shoots and events, including occasional weekend dates, as required by the production schedule.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience in video production and editing across social media content, with a portfolio showing work across multiple formats and brand categories.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Creative Suite, Final Cut Pro, and CapCut, with DaVinci Resolve and Cinema 4D considered a plus.
• A reliable eye for composition, pacing, and visual consistency across different brand identities.
• Comfort adapting quickly between client styles and production briefs without a drop in output quality.
• Availability for a continuing freelance engagement with flexible scheduling measured against deliverables, not hours.
