Videographer & Social Producer

Medium Rare Content Agency, owned by News Corp Australia, is hiring a Videographer & Social Producer based in Auckland, New Zealand. This role sits within a content agency production team, where the primary output is branded video and photography for client social channels, digital platforms, and print, spanning Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube. About the Role

The Videographer & Social Producer works across a portfolio of brand partners that includes Resene, New World, Bunnings, Z Energy, and Auckland Council, producing content that tells local Auckland stories with a strong sense of place and community. A typical day involves pre-production ideation, location shooting around Tamaki Makaurau, and editing footage through to final delivery in Adobe Premiere Pro. This is a hybrid full-time position, and the right candidate will be as comfortable on a solo shoot as they are working alongside a broader agency team.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept, shoot, and edit short-form video content optimised for social media platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, and YouTube.
• Operate camera, manage lighting setups, and apply composition principles to capture broadcast-quality footage and stills on location across Auckland.
• Edit and retouch photography in Adobe Photoshop for use across web, print, and social media channels.
• Manage digital asset workflows including storing, organising, and sharing large volumes of media files in line with agency production processes.
• Ensure all deliverables meet brand guidelines and platform-specific best practices for each client across the agency roster.
• Provide production support to the wider team during larger shoots or multi-format content campaigns.

What You Bring

• Minimum three years of experience in videography, social content production, or a directly related production discipline.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro and Photoshop.
• A portfolio demonstrating camera work, editing, and photography across social or branded content formats.
• Solid understanding of lighting, framing, and composition for both video production and stills photography.
• A current full driving licence and access to a vehicle for location shoots.
