Job Position(s): Video Editor & Producer
Project Type: Commercial
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

ProductionBase is hiring a Video Editor and Producer based in Sunderland, England. This role sits within the post-production workflow, covering end-to-end video content production from assembly cut through to final delivery. It suits an editor who is equally comfortable shaping a story in the timeline as they are managing the production process from brief to export.

About the Role

Working inside ProductionBase’s content team, this Video Editor and Producer will handle projects across digital and promotional video production, taking ownership of both the creative edit and the logistical side of bringing each piece together. A typical day moves between reviewing rushes, building sequences, and coordinating with stakeholders on feedback rounds. The pace is project-driven, with each production requiring someone who can manage their own schedule without a lot of hand-holding.

Key Responsibilities

  • Cut and assemble video content across multiple formats, managing post-production workflow from ingest through to colour-corrected, audio-balanced final deliverables.
  • Produce original video projects from pre-production planning through shoot coordination and into the edit suite, maintaining quality at every stage.
  • Develop and pitch creative treatments for new video content, bringing a clear editorial perspective to each brief.
  • Manage project timelines, versioning, and file organisation to keep productions on schedule and assets properly archived.
  • Work with motion graphics and titles within the edit to produce polished, broadcast-ready content without relying on a separate graphics department.
  • Review and implement client or stakeholder feedback across multiple revision rounds while protecting the integrity of the edit.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrable experience as a Video Editor and Producer across digital, commercial, or branded content production.
  • Strong working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro and the wider Adobe Creative Suite, including After Effects for motion graphics work.
  • A showreel that reflects a range of video production credits, showing both editorial skill and an understanding of story structure.
  • Confidence operating in a small team environment where one person covers ground that larger productions split across multiple roles.
  • Solid understanding of audio mixing, colour grading, and export specifications for multiple delivery platforms.

Why This Role

ProductionBase has a long-standing reputation in the UK screen industries as a platform that understands how production professionals actually work. This role offers real creative ownership across the full production process, which is rare in in-house positions at this level. Sunderland has a growing screen sector presence, and this position puts you inside a company that is genuinely embedded in that industry.
