This role sits firmly in the edit suite, covering the full post-production workflow from assembly cut through to final delivery across corporate, commercial and creative content. It suits an experienced editor who can move fluidly between narrative storytelling and motion graphics without needing much hand-holding.

About the Role

Comma Films works across a mixed slate of corporate, commercial and creative projects, so the post-production workflow here covers a range of formats, tones and delivery specs rather than a single content type. Day to day, the Video Editor is cutting sequences, building motion graphics, managing project organisation, and working closely with the broader creative team to keep output aligned with each project’s brief and brand direction. AI-assisted post tools are part of the toolkit here, used sensibly for transcription, captioning and audio cleanup, freeing up more room for the creative decisions that still need a human editor.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit video content across corporate, commercial and creative projects, maintaining strong pacing, visual polish and narrative structure from rough cut to final delivery.
• Design and produce motion graphics and image-based assets to support the overall creative direction of each project.
• Apply colour correction and grading within the post-production workflow to ensure consistent, platform-appropriate output.
• Manage project files, folder structures and version control to keep the edit suite running efficiently across multiple concurrent jobs.
• Apply AI-assisted post tools including text-based editing, auto-captioning, rotoscoping and audio cleanup where they genuinely improve efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of delivery specifications and format requirements across different distribution platforms and client needs.

What You Bring

• A minimum of three years experience in video editing across commercial or corporate post-production.
• Advanced proficiency in DaVinci Resolve and Adobe Creative Cloud, specifically Premiere Pro, After Effects and Photoshop.
• Strong motion graphics ability demonstrated through a showreel that covers both editing and design work.
• Solid Photoshop skills for creating and manipulating visual assets within the post workflow.
• Good judgement around AI post tools and where they help versus where they flatten creative decisions.
• Experience shooting video and familiarity with Illustrator, InDesign or Lightroom are considered a bonus.
