This is a post-production role sitting inside a finance education brand, responsible for delivering both short-form social content and long-form YouTube and course material on a regular weekly schedule. It suits an editor who has built a real post-production workflow around social and digital video and knows how to hold an audience on screen, not just cut clean sequences.

About the Role

The Video Editor works directly within Goela School of Finance’s content team, cutting across two distinct output streams: short-form Reels and YouTube Shorts optimized for hook-driven social performance, and long-form YouTube videos, webinar recordings, and structured course content. A typical week moves between trimming and repurposing a webinar into several standalone Reels, finishing a long-form YouTube edit with lower-thirds and motion graphics, and cleaning audio across multiple deliverables. This is an in-house post-production role with a steady content pipeline, not a project-by-project freelance arrangement.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit short-form vertical video for Reels and YouTube Shorts, building strong opening hooks, clean cuts, captions, and music to maximize watch time in the first three seconds.
• Cut long-form YouTube videos and webinar recordings that maintain audience retention from open to close, using pacing and structure to hold attention across longer runtimes.
• Repurpose single long-form recordings into multiple short-form clips, identifying the strongest moments and rebuilding them as standalone social posts.
• Add burnt-in captions, lower-thirds, and basic motion graphics in After Effects or Premiere Pro, maintaining a consistent visual identity across all output.
• Clean up dialogue audio, apply sound design where needed, and deliver files that meet platform specifications for both YouTube and Instagram.
• Maintain a reliable weekly delivery cadence across short-form and long-form formats without dropping edit quality under volume.

What You Bring

• Proficiency in Premiere Pro and After Effects, or equivalent experience in Final Cut Pro or DaVinci Resolve at a production-ready level.
• A portfolio or reel demonstrating real cuts you have delivered, particularly across social media video production or digital content post-production workflow.
• A working understanding of pacing, hook structure, and retention mechanics specific to YouTube and short-form video platforms.
• Ability to add captions, build simple motion graphic templates, and deliver clean audio without requiring a separate sound department.
• Reliability with feedback and deadlines inside a small team where revisions are part of the daily post-production workflow.
