Rodeo FX is hiring a Senior VFX Producer to join their studio in Montreal, Canada. This role sits at the center of the VFX pipeline, responsible for managing budgets, production schedules, and client relationships across multiple shows from bid stage through delivery. It suits an experienced VFX producer who has run complex episodic television or feature film productions end to end and knows how to keep a project profitable without losing the client.

About the Role

The Senior VFX Producer works across Rodeo FX’s production department, partnering with VFX Supervisors and department heads to plan and execute projects from initial cost evaluation through final delivery. Day to day, this means tracking shots in Shotgun, forecasting budget and schedule risks, managing client communication, and assigning the right talent to the right work. This is a permanent, senior-level position with direct reports and real accountability for project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the VFX Supervisor and Business Development to evaluate costs and prepare bids for incoming projects, ensuring quotes are grounded in accurate resource planning.
• Own the full production schedule across assigned shows, managing milestones, approving overtime, and keeping Shotgun updated to reflect current project status at all times.
• Serve as the primary client contact throughout post-production, communicating on shot changes, new scope, and revised bids while protecting schedule and budget integrity.
• Assign key artists and production staff to projects in consultation with department managers, balancing skill sets and availability against project requirements.
• Conduct mid-project and post-mortem reviews to identify production inefficiencies, document findings, and drive process improvements across the department.
• Mentor junior production team members, deliver performance reviews, and contribute to decisions around promotions, salary recommendations, and staffing issues.

What You Bring

• Significant experience as a VFX producer on episodic television or feature film productions, with credits that demonstrate full-project ownership.
• Hands-on proficiency with Shotgun for scheduling, shot tracking, and budget reporting within a VFX studio environment.
• Proven ability to bid and manage multi-department VFX projects from initial quote through final delivery.
• Experience managing production staff, including performance reviews and day-to-day team leadership.
• Strong client management skills developed within a VFX studio or post-production facility context.
