Job Position(s): Tier 2 - Support Engineer Production
Project Type: Film & Television
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Warner Bros. Discovery is hiring a Tier 2 Support Engineer Production based at Stockley Park in Uxbridge. This role sits within the broadcast engineering team and is responsible for keeping live sports productions on air across TNT Sports and Eurosport, covering everything from studio infrastructure to post-production systems. It suits an engineer who has hands-on experience in live broadcast environments and knows how to troubleshoot under the pressure of a live transmission window.

About the Role

The Tier 2 Support Engineer Production works within a layered engineering structure, collaborating with Tier 1 teams in Chiswick and Paris and escalating to Tier 3 centres of excellence when needed. Day to day, this person supports live sports broadcast output across football, cricket, rugby, and cycling, maintaining the studio and production systems that keep these events on screen. The role runs on a shift pattern including weekends and occasional nights, with some cross-site working at Chiswick Park.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide engineering support across live broadcast productions, ensuring studio and transmission systems remain operational during live events.
  • Manage fault tickets from initial triage through to full resolution, carrying out hands-on repairs and scheduled maintenance on broadcast infrastructure.
  • Work directly with production teams to coordinate engineering requirements before and during live sports broadcasts.
  • Contribute to team projects and support the wider projects group on large-scale broadcast technology deployments.
  • Maintain shared technical documentation to a standard that keeps the broader engineering team accurately informed of system states and changes.
  • Support the continuous improvement of broadcast platforms by feeding operational experience back into Tier 2 and Tier 3 engineering workflows.

What You Bring

  • Proven experience in a live broadcast engineering or production support role, ideally within a sports broadcast or multi-channel television environment.
  • Solid understanding of studio production systems, signal routing, and post-production workflow within a broadcast operations context.
  • Ability to work a shift-based schedule including weekends, with flexibility to work across multiple sites.
  • Strong fault-finding skills across broadcast hardware and IT systems used in live production environments.
  • Clear written communication skills for maintaining technical documentation used across distributed engineering teams.

Why This Role

Warner Bros. Discovery Sports Europe reaches 130 million people monthly across more than 200 markets, and the broadcast engineering team underpins every live minute of that output, from Olympic coverage to Grand Slam tennis. For a broadcast engineer, the production scale here and the complexity of the live sports broadcast pipeline are genuinely hard to match elsewhere in the industry. This is a staff role with real exposure to major live event production at a broadcast network that builds and maintains its own technology infrastructure.

Apply now for the Tier 2 Support Engineer Production role at Warner Bros. Discovery and bring your broadcast engineering experience to one of the largest live sports production operations in Europe.
