Job Type
Netflix is hiring a Talent M&A Specialist based in Los Angeles, California to sit at the center of every acquisition the company makes. This role lives inside the People organization and owns the full HR workstream across deal lifecycle stages, from early target evaluation through Employee Day 1 and the first ninety days of integration. It suits an operations-minded strategist who has managed complex, confidential cross-functional programs and wants to apply that experience inside one of the most active studios in the television and film industry.
About the Role
The Talent M&A team at Netflix functions as the dedicated people partner for every acquisition, working directly alongside Corporate Development, Legal, and Finance to bring acquired companies and their employees into the Netflix ecosystem. On any given week, this person might be running diligence on a target company, updating integration dashboards across multiple live deals, or facilitating a cross-functional alignment meeting with senior stakeholders. As Netflix continues acquiring companies that expand its slate across episodic television, film production, gaming, and live programming, this team carries one of the higher-stakes mandates in the People function.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Talent workstream across all active deals, tracking milestones, dependencies, and decision owners to keep integration timelines on schedule.
- Build and maintain deal trackers and dashboards that give real-time visibility into progress across each phase of the acquisition workflow.
- Evaluate target company HR policies and operations during the diligence phase to surface risks and inform deal structuring decisions.
- Run large cross-functional meetings, document decisions and action items, and hold partners across Legal, Finance, and Workplace accountable to their commitments.
- Track long-term deal outcomes through annual scorecard reporting, monitoring metrics including employee retention across acquired teams.
- Maintain and improve the Talent M&A playbook, exit criteria, and templates so each deal benefits from the lessons of the last.
What You Bring
- Three or more years in management consulting, strategy and operations, or technical program management in a high-volume, execution-heavy environment.
- Strong fluency in Excel and Google Sheets, including building trackers, simple models, and surfacing trends from integration data.
- Proven experience managing multiple cross-functional workstreams simultaneously under tight deadlines.
- Sound judgment handling confidential employee and transaction information with discretion.
- Prior M&A or HR integration experience and familiarity with Workday or a comparable HRIS platform are a plus.
- Experience supporting HR or operational processes across multiple geographies is an advantage.
Why This Role
Netflix operates one of the largest content production pipelines in the world, spanning scripted television, feature film production, live events, and interactive entertainment, which means the Talent M&A team is rarely idle. Compensation at Netflix consists solely of an annual salary with no bonuses, and each year employees choose how much of their compensation they want in salary versus stock options, with individual top-of-market figures determined by market indicators and job family. For someone who wants to build genuine M&A expertise inside a studio operation that is still actively growing its acquisition activity, this is a legitimate career-building seat.
Apply now for the Talent M&A Specialist role at Netflix and bring your program management background into one of the most consequential people functions in the entertainment industry.
