Job Type
Mous is hiring a Senior Video Editor (Manager) based in London, England. This role sits at the head of the post-production pipeline, with the editor personally cutting highest-priority content across paid social, organic, YouTube, ecommerce, and Amazon while managing a remote editing team end to end. It suits an editor who has built serious craft across short-form and long-form content workflows and is ready to own both the output and the people producing it.
About the Role
The editing team at Mous serves every video channel the brand publishes on, from performance-driven paid social cuts to product launch content and major brand partnerships. This is a player-manager position, meaning the Senior Video Editor (Manager) stays on the timeline personally while running workload allocation, quality control, and development reviews for the wider team. A typical week moves between your own edit sessions, pipeline oversight across concurrent projects, and reviewing published content data to feed back into how the team approaches hooks and retention.
Key Responsibilities
- Personally edit the highest-priority content across all channels, maintaining the craft standard the rest of the editing team is held to.
- Line-manage a remote team of editors, handling workload allocation, output quality control, and formal development plans and reviews.
- Own the post-production pipeline end to end, keeping a high-volume, multi-project schedule on track through peak launch periods without slippage.
- Review performance data on published content and translate findings into concrete changes to editing approach, including hook structure and audience retention.
- Partner with content production, graphic design, and creative strategy to ensure edits land as intended across each format and platform.
- Shape how the editing function is structured and scaled as content volume grows, with a clear path toward leading the function outright.
What You Bring
- Exceptional editing craft demonstrated through a reel that shows real story construction, not just assembly, built in Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent.
- Three or more years of editing experience spanning both short-form social content and long-form video production formats.
- Proven experience managing or mentoring editors, with examples of measurable improvement in their output.
- A commercial understanding of video performance metrics and how post-production decisions affect retention and conversion.
- Ability to run a multi-project post-production workflow calmly under launch deadline pressure without quality slipping.
Why This Role
Mous has built its brand substantially through in-house content production, which means the editing team has direct influence over creative standards at a company with genuine reach and a growing global audience. The Senior Video Editor (Manager) role carries real decision-making authority over how the function runs, not just a title. For an editor ready to grow into a full department lead, the structure here supports that progression concretely.
Apply now for the Senior Video Editor (Manager) position at Mous and bring your post-production leadership to a team where the work is visible and the craft still matters.
