Job Position(s): Senior / Cameraman, Bengaluru Bureau (CNA TV)

 

You will play a pivotal role in capturing and editing high-quality visuals for News, Current Affairs (CA), and Documentary programs. This position requires expertise in managing technical equipment, including cameras, editing facilities, and Live U/BGAN (or similar bonded cellular/Sat devices). The role may involve occasional travel to other regions to meet production demands.

In this role, you are required to:

• Advise and execute optimal technical setups for filming and production, demonstrating proficiency in operating various camera types and possessing a sound understanding of location lighting and sound recording

• Operate LiveU, BGAN, or similar bonded cellular/satellite devices to facilitate live broadcasts and remote productions

• Ensure that all video and audio recordings and deliverables meet broadcast technical requirements

• Edit video deliverables as needed, showcasing a keen eye for visual storytelling and narrative coherence

• Operate and manage and maintain technical equipment, including cameras, studio equipment, video editing facilities, and LiveU/BGAN/similar bonded cellular/satellite devices

• Collaborate with bureau correspondents, other bureau staff, desk editors, producers, and assistant producers at the headquarters in Singapore to effectively plan and execute filming and video editing to meet production needs

• Travel to various parts of the region and beyond as required for on-location filming and production needs

• Work in diverse environments and situations, including disaster zones, high-risk areas, protests, etc

• Housekeep all video footages for editing and archival

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 to 5 years’ experience

• Holding freelancer PIB card issued by the Press Information Bureau of India preferred

• Operate various types of cameras as required for the production

• Good working knowledge of location lighting and audio recording for indoor and outdoor shoots

• Good knowledge of transmission devices including bonded cellular and satellite

• Basic knowledge of editing on Adobe Premiere and File Transfer Protocols

• Good team player and prepared to work on irregular shifts including weekends and public holidays
