Next Door Photos Great Lakes Bay is hiring a Real Estate Photographer / Videographer on a part-time contractor basis, operating out of Gaylord, Michigan. This role sits within the real estate media production space, where the output is property photography, video walkthroughs, drone aerials, and 3D tour assets delivered directly to real estate professionals across Northern Michigan. It suits a working shooter who owns their kit, manages their own schedule, and knows how to move through a location efficiently without hand-holding.

About the Role

Next Door Photos handles all scheduling, post-production editing, delivery, and client billing, so the Media Pro role is focused entirely on capturing clean, production-ready media on location. A typical day involves traveling to residential properties throughout the Northern Michigan area, completing shoots that run between 40 and 90 minutes each, and uploading all media by 8:00 PM the same day. Media Pros can move through up to six properties per day, making availability and route efficiency a real factor in earnings.

Key Responsibilities

• Capture high-quality interior and exterior real estate photography using wide-angle lenses suited to APS-C or full-frame sensor bodies.
• Shoot video walkthrough productions that meet Next Door Photos workflow and delivery standards.
• Operate drone equipment for aerial photography and video when FAA Part 107 certified.
• Upload all completed media assets to the production workflow by the end of each shoot day.
• Maintain accurate real-time availability through Google Calendar to support scheduling across the Northern Michigan service area.
• Represent the company professionally when on-site with Realtors and homeowners, since client-facing conduct is part of the deliverable.

What You Bring

• Professional photography or videography experience, with real estate photography background preferred but not required.
• Owned production kit including a DSLR or mirrorless camera, wide-angle lens, smartphone gimbal, and tripod with ball head.
• FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, or a concrete willingness to obtain it, for drone production work.
• High-speed internet access for same-day media uploads.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to self-manage a flexible, property-to-property shoot schedule.
