About the Role

You’ll be embedded in the Series TV finance team, working across scripted productions that include titles like Fallout and Reacher. Day to day, that means reviewing cost reports and trial balances, managing funding schedules, and serving as the primary finance contact between Amazon MGM Studios and the production accounting teams on each show. The role spans pre-production through wrap, so you’ll be tracking financial activity at every stage of episodic television production.

Key Responsibilities

• Serve as the main point of contact between original series productions and the Amazon MGM Studios finance team, fielding cost reporting questions and resolving accounting discrepancies in real time.
• Onboard production accounting teams during pre-production and ensure compliance with studio accounting manual guidelines before cameras roll.
• Review production budgets, cost reports, trial balances, and petty cash reconciliations prepared by show accountants across multiple concurrent productions.
• Manage cash flow and funding schedules for assigned projects, coordinating with production to keep disbursements on track throughout the production cycle.
• Oversee the production incentive workflow from application through receipt, including tax credit and cash incentive programs tied to scripted TV production locations.
• Coordinate production company onboarding and manage setup of production payroll and accounting software for each new series.

What You Bring

• Prior experience in production finance or production accounting on scripted episodic television or feature film production.
• Hands-on familiarity with production accounting software used in television, such as Movie Magic Budgeting or EP Budgeting.
• Demonstrated ability to read and analyze cost reports, trial balances, and production budgets at a show accountant or above level.
• Experience working with state and local production incentive programs, including tax credit workflows.
• Comfort operating across departments including Creative, Business Affairs, Legal, and Production within a studio environment.
