About the Role

The Production Assistant works within FOX Nation’s live team, a unit focused on growing the platform’s live streaming output across breaking news and scheduled events. Day-to-day work runs across control room operations, app content preparation, and cross-departmental coordination with legal, graphics, marketing, and field production. The schedule shifts to a Sunday through Thursday or Tuesday through Saturday rotation after an initial Monday through Friday training period, with the expectation of occasional evening and extended hours during live broadcasts.

Key Responsibilities

• Direct and operate live streams and programming in an automated control room environment, managing the technical and editorial flow of each broadcast.
• Write content descriptions for the FOX Nation app that are editorially sharp and suited to the platform’s audience and tone.
• Work with the graphics department to develop toolkits used across live streaming and special event productions.
• Coordinate production logistics with internal departments including finance, media relations, and field production teams.
• Support town hall broadcasts and live event specials, contributing to production planning from prep through execution.
• Manage daily priorities independently while keeping longer-term production timelines on track across concurrent projects.

What You Bring

• A bachelor’s degree in journalism or a related field, or equivalent hands-on production experience in live television or live streaming.
• Working knowledge of current events and the editorial standards expected in news production.
• Experience in a control room or live streaming environment is a genuine advantage here, not a formality.
• Strong written communication skills, specifically for on-platform content and production documentation.
• The organizational discipline to manage multiple production timelines without supervision.
