This role sits within the UCAN Post Production department and is responsible for overseeing post-production workflow, budgeting, and delivery across a slate of live sports and specials titles produced by external partners. About the Role

The Manager, Post Production works directly with external production companies and sports producers to manage everything from pre-production through final wrap, serving as the primary contact for both internal Netflix teams and outside partners. Day-to-day work involves setting up and maintaining post-production workflows for 4K multicam and live-to-tape environments, tracking costs, coordinating cut schedules, and vetting vendor and staffing choices across graphics, color, VFX, and sound. This is a hands-on position where post-production workflow decisions carry real consequences across distribution, localization, and broadcast operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Define and implement end-to-end post-production workflows covering camera capture, HDR color pipelines, master delivery, and archive in collaboration with Netflix Live Technical Management and Distribution teams.
• Partner with Post Supervisors and Line Producers to build, review, and stress-test show budgets and post schedules, flagging risks before they become problems on live broadcast days.
• Evaluate and improve partner delivery workflows for SVOD content derived from live broadcasts, ensuring they meet Netflix technical and quality requirements.
• Source, interview, and approve key post hires including post producers, supervisors, editors, and assistant editors for each production.
• Manage asset delivery workflows for Netflix-produced materials entering live broadcasts, tracking handoffs from internal creative teams to production control rooms and Broadcast Operations.
• Track and report all post-production costs across the slate, keeping stakeholders informed of budget status and flagging changes in real time.

What You Bring

• Extensive hands-on experience in post production for live sports broadcasts and large-scale live entertainment programming.
• Deep familiarity with 4K multicam production, HDR color pipelines, and live-to-tape post-production workflow.
• A track record managing vendor relationships across facilities handling graphics, VFX, animation, color, and sound.
• Experience working across episodic television, live specials, or sports broadcast at a network, streamer, or major production company level.
• Strong budget management skills with the ability to read, build, and challenge post-production cost reports.
• The ability to operate with sound judgment when information is incomplete and timelines are short, which is standard in live production.
