This role sits within the brand’s in-house creative team, producing edited content for YouTube, Reels, and TikTok that carries the visual identity of a luxury jewellery label. It suits an editor early in their career who has experience cutting social video content and wants to build a consistent post-production workflow within a brand environment.

About the Role

The Junior Video Editor works inside Chisholm Hunter’s marketing and creative department, handling content that spans long-form YouTube edits and short-form social video production. Day-to-day, this means ingesting raw footage, building sequences from scratch, applying brand-consistent motion and colour, and delivering finished assets across multiple platforms. The role runs 37.5 hours per week and is a full on-site position in Glasgow.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit raw footage into polished, platform-ready videos for YouTube, Instagram Reels, and TikTok, maintaining consistent visual tone across all outputs.
• Apply brand guidelines throughout the post-production workflow, ensuring colour grading, typography, and pacing meet the company’s luxury positioning.
• Manage media organisation, project file structure, and asset delivery to keep the edit pipeline clean and repeatable.
• Cut short-form social video content to platform-specific formats and aspect ratios, including vertical and square deliverables.
• Work directly with the marketing team to interpret briefs and translate campaign direction into edited sequences.
• Review and revise cuts based on internal feedback, turning notes around efficiently without losing continuity between versions.

What You Bring

• Demonstrable experience editing brand or commercial video content, either from an in-house role, agency, or freelance credits.
• Proficiency in an industry-standard NLE such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro, with working knowledge of After Effects for motion work.
• A portfolio showing finished social video production work across multiple formats and platforms.
• Understanding of platform delivery requirements for YouTube and short-form social channels including aspect ratios, export specs, and file formats.
• Ability to self-manage within an on-site creative team without requiring close supervision on standard edit tasks.
