Project Type: TV Series
Job Date: Internship
Compensation: Paid Internship

FX Networks is hiring an FX Content & Editorial Intern, Spring 2027, based in Burbank, California. This role sits inside FX’s in-house content and editorial team, which is responsible for producing AV marketing materials, including promos, trailers, and campaign assets, that support the network’s program launches and branding projects. It suits a detail-oriented student or recent graduate who wants to understand how episodic television content gets shaped into finished marketing creative.

About the Role

The FX Content and Editorial team works across the full arc of a campaign, from early creative development through delivery of finished promo assets, supporting one of the most respected drama slates in episodic television. As an intern, you work directly alongside a Senior Writer/Producer, which means real exposure to the creative marketing workflow rather than peripheral admin tasks. A typical day involves screening episodes, logging footage with timecodes, contributing to brainstorms, and helping track assets as a campaign moves through production.

Key Responsibilities

  • Screen episodes and produce detailed footage logs with accurate timecodes, flagging dialogue, performances, and story beats that can anchor a promo concept.
  • Contribute creative angles during brainstorm sessions and articulate the editorial reasoning behind a particular clip or moment.
  • Assist in writing and revising promo scripts and copy as campaign materials develop from concept through final delivery.
  • Maintain organized, current records of assets and notes so the production team has clean information at every stage of the workflow.
  • Coordinate clearly with producers and other team members, providing progress updates and integrating notes into revised materials.
  • Research industry trends and emerging content marketing approaches to inform creative decisions and keep campaign materials relevant.

What You Bring

  • Demonstrated interest in television marketing, trailer production, or creative content development through coursework, internships, or personal projects.
  • Strong written communication skills with a track record of incorporating feedback to improve scripts, copy, or presentation materials.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple deadlines and maintain accuracy across concurrent assignments.
  • Availability for a full-time, six-month commitment running January 2027 through June 2027.

Why This Role

FX Networks carries one of the strongest reputations in prestige episodic television, and this internship places you inside the team that translates that creative output into the marketing materials audiences actually see. Working under a Senior Writer/Producer gives you direct mentorship within a professional post-production and editorial marketing environment that is hard to access at this career stage. The full-time, six-month structure offers enough runway to actually develop skills rather than shadow from a distance.

Apply now for the FX Content & Editorial Intern, Spring 2027 position with FX Networks and start building your foundation in television marketing and editorial production.
