Festival Videographer

Box is hiring a Festival Videographer to work on-site in London, England, UK. This role sits within documentary and event production, responsible for capturing interview setups, live event coverage, and promotional footage across the full festival run. About the Role

The Festival Videographer will work directly with the PRIFF UK festival team to identify and capture priority content throughout the festival period, including filmmaker interviews, guest conversations, workshop coverage, and behind-the-scenes material. This is a short-form documentary and event videography workflow where you are responsible for your own kit, your own setup, and delivering clean, usable footage for both promotional and archival output. Expect roughly two to three days of work, with exact dates confirmed once scheduling is finalised with the successful candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Set up and operate camera, lighting, and audio equipment for one-on-one filmmaker and industry guest interviews in a professional interview environment.
• Capture live event footage across festival screenings, workshops, and talks, adapting quickly to changing conditions in a live event production setting.
• Work with the festival team to prioritise content across the schedule and ensure key moments are covered.
• Manage your own production equipment throughout the engagement, as kit is required to be supplied by the videographer.
• Deliver high-quality footage suitable for post-production use in promotional and archival content.
• Record behind-the-scenes material that supports the festival’s wider video content output across the run.

What You Bring

• Proven experience in event videography and interview filming, ideally across film festival, documentary, or factual production environments.
• Hands-on experience configuring professional interview setups, including three-point lighting rigs and dual-channel audio recording.
• Own camera and production kit capable of delivering broadcast or near-broadcast quality footage.
• Ability to work independently and make technical decisions on the fly in a live event production context.
• Strong understanding of filming workflows from acquisition through to footage handoff for post-production.
