This role sits inside CSN’s content production operation, where the primary output is high-volume short-form video built for Instagram, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and X, alongside long-form YouTube content and direct-response advertisements. It suits an editor who treats post-production workflow as a craft, measures their work in retention curves and view counts, and wants ownership over a real content pipeline rather than a rotation of one-off freelance cuts.

About the Role

CSN has placed over 1,100 athletes into college baseball programs and is now building the content infrastructure to grow that brand across every major social platform. This editor works directly with company leadership on creative direction, which means short feedback loops and real decision-making input rather than notes filtered through layers of management. A typical day involves cutting multiple short-form pieces, refining motion graphics, reviewing platform analytics, and iterating based on what the numbers say.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit multiple short-form videos per week optimized for platform-specific retention, applying hook structure, pacing, and viewer psychology suited to each channel’s algorithm.
• Cut long-form YouTube content and video sales letters, maintaining narrative momentum across extended runtimes without losing audience attention.
• Build motion graphics and animations that serve the visual identity of CSN rather than defaulting to template-driven design.
• Handle sound design, caption integration, transitions, and visual effects as native parts of the editorial process, not afterthoughts.
• Track content performance metrics and adjust editing style based on retention data, click-through rates, and audience growth across platforms.
• Maintain organized project files and an efficient post-production workflow that supports consistent high-volume output without quality drop-off.

What You Bring

• A portfolio of short-form content that demonstrates real-world performance, not just technical proficiency.
• High proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of AI editing tools and emerging post-production software.
• Demonstrated experience editing for social platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X.
• Competence in motion graphics, color grading, and sound design within a short-form content context.
• Ability to receive editorial notes, revise quickly, and improve output based on performance data rather than personal preference.
