Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

As part of the Frieze Branded Content team, the Content Production Assistant works on videos and editorial promoting and documenting all five Frieze Fairs, as well as year-round content for Frieze audiences.

Working closely with the Creative Director, Senior Editor and Creative Producers of Frieze-branded content, this role is a key support on digital editorial production, including news articles, video trailers and social clips, artist profiles and the documentation of talks and performances.

Administration & Research

  • Setting up meetings
  • Supporting the Content Producer to organize insurance, risk assessments and logistics for film shoots
  • Targeted outreach to galleries for images and information for articles and video
  • Researching artists, art world trends and other digital platforms
  • Finding highlights and trends in fair presentations, to inform the content strategy
  • Providing organisational support to the Frieze-Branded Content team
  • Providing ad-hoc support to the Frieze Studios & Branded Content team
  • Drafting event news and programme articles in Frieze’s voice
  • Supporting the senior editor on copywriting for social media
  • Supporting on other frieze digital content, including proof‑reading web copy
  • Regular proof‑reading and copy‑editing for ad‑hoc projects
  • Assisting Frieze video crews onsite at Frieze fairs

Website & Digital

  • Creating articles and uploading videos to , on time and according to SEO and Frieze style guidelines
  • Coordinating with other teams to gather performance data for campaign debriefs
  • Assisting in uploading programming pages, Frieze Week and Frieze Masters magazine articles
  • Assisting in uploading content for the Frieze Masters Podcast and Bloomberg Connects App

Please Note

e.g. shift(s)/ unsocial hours/ travel etc.

  • There may be travel to New York, Los Angeles, Seoul and elsewhere for fairs and film shoots
  • Working hours during the fair can fall outside the usual office hours of 10am–6pm

Key Results Areas

  • Supporting key logistics behind all Frieze branded video shoots
  • Supporting on written materials
  • Providing key briefing materials and imagery for the branded content, PR and marketing teams

Person Specification Knowledge and Experience

  • Knowledge and awareness of artists and the art world
  • 1+ years’ experience in communications, marketing or production
  • Ability to work under pressure, with high attention to detail
  • A strong sense of what constitutes clear, concise and articulate writing
  • An interest in video and social media
  • Experience with in a related environment such as a commercial gallery, museum, international art fair or publication
  • Experience in video production

Skills and Abilities

Mandatory

  • Native or bilingual proficiency in English
  • A proven ability to work to tight deadlines and stay calm under pressure
  • Good proofreading and editing skills
  • Proven ability to multitask many different responsibilities, while maintaining a keen eye for details
  • Exceptional communication skills and a team player
  • Familiarity with Google analytics

Qualifications and Training

Mandatory

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent
