About the Role

The Chief, Global Strategy & Marketing, Anime Production works within Warner Bros. Discovery’s anime content division, interfacing daily with production teams, IP owners, licensees, and international distributors. The work spans campaign planning across episodic television and feature animation releases, with hands-on involvement in social content, promotional assets, event activations, and cross-territory coordination. A typical day moves between strategic planning sessions and the ground-level execution of multi-platform marketing initiatives tied to live production schedules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop comprehensive global marketing strategies and action plans aligned to anime production timelines and distribution windows.
  • Plan and execute multi-platform campaign rollouts spanning social, digital, events, and trade channels across international markets.
  • Build and manage platform-specific content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, and other social channels, including community engagement and trend monitoring.
  • Coordinate event and convention activations, producing promotional copy, press releases, advertising materials, and video assets to support each campaign.
  • Track campaign performance through market research and analytics, using audience insights to refine strategy across the production and release cycle.
  • Work directly with producers, IP owners, and licensing partners to maintain campaign consistency across all territories and distribution pipelines.

What You Bring

  • 2 to 3 years of direct experience in anime marketing, content marketing, or the entertainment licensing industry.
  • Proven track record managing global or multi-territory campaigns for episodic animation or anime studio releases.
  • Hands-on experience with social media content production and community management across major platforms.
  • Strong project management skills, including budget oversight, timeline management, and cross-functional documentation.
  • Fluency in the anime production and distribution landscape, including relationships with IP holders and licensees.
