We are looking for a creative and experienced Camera Operator to join our team and help bring the PGL events to life. You will be part of our existing production team and be responsible for operating a variety of technical equipment including fixed or portable cameras, remote-control, and electronic cameras or cranes during our events taking place in PGL Studios or outside the country.

Responsibilities:

 

  • Operate different types and models of video cameras during live broadcasts or to produce different pieces of content
  • Know and apply the technical aspects of lenses, film, filters, light and camera settings to each shot to ensure the director gets the desired effect 
  • Adjust camera controls and any related equipment to find the right lighting, exposure, and focus
  • Work with other broadcast production professionals, including lighting technicians and directors to determine desired effects, lighting requirements, camera movements, and filming sequences
  • Arrange studio sets to best suit the settings on the camera
  • Maintain, clean and test all broadcasting equipment and cameras to ensure every tool is in good working order each day before broadcasting
  • Watch filming sets closely to determine if problems are present in regards to camera angles and lighting and notify the director about issues before the broadcast starts 
  • Keep an eye on new technology and current industry trends to ensure you bring the latest methods to the job
  • Assembling and setting up equipment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Professional experience as a Camera Operator
  • Technical skills in the operation of video cameras 
  • Artistic talent to frame attractive shots
  • A positive and problem-solving attitude
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills in English
  • Attention to details
  • Teamwork skills
  • Ability to multitask and work toward several milestones on various projects simultaneously
  • Excellent communication skills in order to have a solid understanding of certain project scope and implementation
  • Flexibility to travel abroad for events and work varying hours, including nights or weekends.
  • Passion for video games & esports is a plus
