Laika Studios is hiring an Awards Campaign Operations Director based in Hillsboro, OR. This role sits at the center of the film marketing and distribution department, responsible for the end-to-end operational execution of awards campaigns across Oscars, BAFTAs, Golden Globes, and Guild circuits in both domestic and international theatrical markets. About the Role

Reporting directly to the Chief Marketing and Operations Officer, this position functions as the central integrator across Laika’s internal teams including marketing, creative, publicity, and distribution, as well as US and UK external agency partners. On any given day, you are tracking deliverables across paid media, key art, AV assets, and festival activations, while keeping a global campaign on schedule and on budget. This is a temporary 10-month position tied to an active awards campaign cycle for a feature film release from one of the most distinctive animation studios working today.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the full awards campaign lifecycle for a feature film release, owning project plans, milestone tracking, and delivery timelines across all internal departments and external partners.
• Oversee the finishing and trafficking of awards marketing deliverables including online and offline AV, key art, print, digital, and social creative assets across domestic and international markets.
• Manage paid media budgets, approvals, and reconciliations in partnership with the CMO, media agency, and finance team, ensuring financial reporting aligns with campaign objectives.
• Coordinate the operational execution of premieres, special screenings, festival appearances, and exhibitor activations alongside publicity and distribution partners.
• Provide weekly campaign status reporting to the CMO covering progress, risks, and escalations, and troubleshoot creative production issues as they arise in real time.
• Maintain centralized version control and global asset visibility across all partner organizations, ensuring brand and narrative consistency throughout the awards season campaign workflow.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated experience managing awards season campaigns for theatrical feature film releases, ideally across both US and international markets.
• Fluency in campaign management platforms and project tracking tooling used in film marketing and distribution operations.
• A background working across media agency relationships, creative production, and post-production workflow at the studio or distributor level.
• Strong budget management experience including reconciliation and financial reporting on multi-market paid media campaigns.
• Proven ability to coordinate cross-functional teams across marketing, publicity, and distribution on compressed awards season timelines.
