Solace is hiring an Associate Video Editor to join their in-house creative team in Redwood City, CA. This role sits inside Solace’s post-production workflow, where the editor handles everything from footage ingest and rough assembly through final export across social, web, marketing, and brand channels. It’s a strong fit for a recent graduate or early-career editor who wants real mentorship and hands-on post-production experience without being buried in coffee runs.

About the Role

The Associate Video Editor works within Solace’s internal creative department, contributing to a steady output of brand content, marketing video, and internal communications across multiple formats. Day-to-day work includes building and refining cuts in Adobe Premiere Pro, organizing project files and media inside a Digital Asset Management system, and supporting senior editors through the full post-production workflow. This is a hybrid in-person role, three days a week out of the Redwood City office.

Key Responsibilities

• Cut and refine video content from initial assembly through final export across social, web, and brand formats, maintaining consistent pacing and visual storytelling throughout.
• Handle footage ingest, audio sync, timeline prep, and project file organization to keep the post-production pipeline clean and moving.
• Maintain and update Solace’s Digital Asset Management system, including folder structures, naming conventions, metadata tagging, version control, and archival.
• Perform quality control checks on audio levels, resolution, codec specifications, export formats, and brand standards before any asset goes out the door.
• Incorporate editorial feedback from producers, designers, and senior editors quickly and with a clear understanding of how each note serves the final piece.
• Support continuous improvements to post-production workflow and asset management processes as the team and content library grow.

What You Bring

• Zero to two years of video editing experience, whether from professional credits, academic work, or a personal project reel that demonstrates real editorial judgment.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro or a comparable professional non-linear editing system.
• A working understanding of audio editing, color correction, video codecs, compression, and export specifications for multiple delivery formats.
• Experience with Digital Asset Management systems, structured media organization, or disciplined file management practices.
• After Effects, motion graphics, or cloud-based collaborative post-production tools are a plus.
