Nuts.com is hiring a Contract Social Media Video Editor and Creator based out of Cranford, NJ, working hybrid across remote and on-site shoots. This role sits inside the brand’s creative performance team, producing short-form social video content for Meta, TikTok, and Instagram, covering both paid ad creative and organic social output. It’s a strong fit for a creator-editor hybrid who is comfortable owning the full pipeline from concept to cut, including appearing on camera.

About the Role

This is a freelance contract position running approximately 20 hours per week, reporting directly to the Senior Manager of Creative Performance and Strategy. The day-to-day involves taking performance briefs and turning them into multi-format short-form video assets, primarily 9×16 Reels, TikToks, and Stories, with copy and hook variations built for A/B testing. In-person shoot days at Nuts.com HQ in Cranford, NJ happen no more than twice a month, with the rest of the work done remotely.

Key Responsibilities

• Shoot and self-direct on-camera content including product demos, taste tests, and UGC-style reactions for use across paid social and organic social video workflows.
• Edit high volumes of short-form content in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or comparable software, delivering multiple asset variations per brief with clean version control.
• Capture product close-ups, lifestyle b-roll, and supporting footage using both phone and higher-end camera setups depending on the production scope.
• Build shoppable content formatted for TikTok Shop and support planning or hosting of TikTok LIVE sessions as that channel develops.
• Pitch original content concepts tied to cultural moments, seasonal snacking trends, and platform-specific formats that align with performance creative goals.
• Maintain a tidy, clearly labeled asset library so the broader creative team can locate and reuse footage without hunting through disorganized exports.

What You Bring

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience creating and editing short-form social video, with a portfolio that includes on-camera work and performance ad creative.
• Proficiency in CapCut, Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or a comparable editing tool used in professional short-form production workflows.
• Demonstrated phone filming skills covering framing, stabilization, natural lighting setups, and clean audio capture in real-world environments.
• Working knowledge of TikTok and Instagram trends, sounds, and native formats at a level that informs creative decisions, not just aesthetic preferences.
• Experience with TikTok Shop, TikTok LIVE content, or CPG and food industry brand work is a meaningful plus.
