Project: Aquarium

Vancouver Actors Guide is casting a family for Project: Aquarium, a commercial shoot based in Vancouver, BC. This is a talent booking for a half-day on-camera production, with families appearing in footage shot on location at the Vancouver Aquarium under an all-inclusive usage agreement. The role suits actors with family units available for commercial production work, particularly those comfortable with self-managed hair, makeup, and wardrobe on the day.

About the Role

Project: Aquarium is a commercial shoot seeking real families to appear in finished footage licensed for unrestricted usage across platforms. The half-day format runs four hours, keeping the production timeline tight and focused, which is standard for location-based commercial work in the Vancouver market. Talent will work directly within the production’s creative direction, supplying their own wardrobe based on guidelines provided ahead of the shoot.

Key Responsibilities

• Appear on camera as part of a family unit in a commercial production filmed at a Vancouver Aquarium location.
• Arrive to set with hair and makeup camera-ready, meeting the visual standard expected for commercial on-camera talent.
• Source and provide personal wardrobe aligned with the creative direction supplied by the production team prior to the shoot date.
• Participate in a four-hour half-day shoot, hitting marks and taking direction from the on-set crew throughout the session.
• Confirm and hold availability for the full half-day call, as commercial location shoots operate on a fixed production schedule.
• Submit accurate details about family composition and children’s ages as part of the casting selection process.

What You Bring

• At least one adult and one child available to work together as a family unit for commercial on-camera production.
• Prior experience in commercial, print, or on-camera work is an asset, though not a strict requirement.
• Ability to self-manage hair, makeup, and wardrobe without on-set assistance from a styling department.
• A current family photo available for submission as part of the casting review process.
• Comfort working on a managed location set with crew, under the standard conditions of a commercial shoot day.
