Actor/Performer

Rock Star Productions is casting an Actor/Performer for a live theatrical engagement running November 5th through 7th in Pittsburgh, PA 15106. This role centers on solo performance within an immersive theater production format, delivering character-driven monologues to intimate audiences in a small venue built around atmosphere and audience connection. It suits performers with stage experience who are comfortable owning a room alone and sustaining emotional intensity across multiple performances in a single night.

About the Role

This is a short-run contract engagement for a Serial Killers themed theatrical event, placing the performer at the center of a mood-driven, immersive experience rather than a traditional ensemble cast production. Each night involves multiple back-to-back performances for rotating audience groups, so the work is closer to immersive theater or scare entertainment than a conventional stage run. The production prioritizes tone, pacing, and crowd connection above all else.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver a fully memorized 8-minute dramatic monologue to a live audience across multiple performance rotations per night.
• Sustain consistent emotional intensity and character commitment through repeated solo performances in a single evening.
• Read and respond to audience energy within an intimate venue setting to maintain immersion and atmosphere.
• Arrive on time and prepared for each performance date across the full November 5th through 7th run.
• Coordinate with production staff on blocking, timing, and any site-specific staging requirements for the venue.
• Maintain character discipline throughout the event without the support of a scene partner or ensemble cast.

What You Bring

• Demonstrated ability to memorize and perform a long-form solo monologue under live performance conditions.
• Background in immersive theater, solo performance, scare entertainment, or intensive character work is a plus.
• Comfort delivering emotionally charged, dark material to a live theatrical audience in close quarters.
• Availability for all three performance dates: November 5th, 6th, and 7th.
• Must be 21 years of age or older to be considered for this role.

Why This Role
