Project Type: Short Film
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: Paid - Salary

Phoenix is hiring a Senior Video Editor based in Toronto, Ontario, to lead post-production across its direct-to-consumer telehealth brands. This role sits at the head of the editing department, responsible for the creative standards, output quality, and workflow systems behind all paid social and performance video content for Phoenix and its sister brand Raven. It suits an experienced editor who has moved beyond just cutting and is ready to own a department’s creative direction while staying hands-on with the work.

About the Role

The Senior Video Editor operates inside Phoenix’s in-house creative team, overseeing post-production workflow from footage handoff through final delivery across Meta, TikTok, and other digital platforms. Day-to-day, this means cutting high-performing video ads, reviewing edits from junior team members, developing templates and editing guidelines, and working directly with Creative Strategists to shape how briefs translate into finished assets. The volume is real and the performance bar is high, with creative decisions informed by data on hooks, retention, and conversion.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the editing style and visual storytelling standards across both Phoenix and Raven brands, ensuring consistency and quality across all post-production output.
  • Mentor and review the work of other editors, delivering clear creative feedback that raises the skill level of the team and aligns cuts with performance objectives.
  • Edit short-form, social-first video content optimized for paid social platforms, applying strong instincts around pacing, hook structure, and audience retention.
  • Build and maintain post-production workflow systems including file organization, version control, and asset management practices that keep the team operating efficiently at scale.
  • Lead testing of new editing formats and storytelling approaches, using performance data to iterate and improve creative output over time.
  • Ensure technical execution across all deliverables meets platform-specific requirements, including audio mix, colour, motion graphics, captions, and aspect ratio formatting.

What You Bring

  • Five or more years of professional video editing experience in DTC, e-commerce, performance marketing, or a creative agency environment.
  • A portfolio showing real range across short-form and social-first content, with demonstrable results in performance creative contexts.
  • Highly advanced proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, DaVinci Resolve, or equivalent post-production tools.
  • Experience leading, coaching, or formally reviewing other editors, with the ability to give constructive direction that improves the work.
  • Familiarity with AI-powered editing tools and a genuine interest in integrating them into post-production workflow.

Why This Role

Phoenix has built one of Canada’s more recognized telehealth platforms since launching in 2019, and its in-house creative operation handles a serious volume of performance content across two brands. This Senior Video Editor position offers real department ownership, not a title with a narrow lane, and the company operates with a collaborative, in-person culture that keeps creative teams tightly connected to strategy and results.

Apply now for the Senior Video Editor role at Phoenix and bring your post-production experience to a team building something that matters.
