About the Role

The Performance Video Editor works within Honeydew’s in-house growth creative operation, handling everything from scrappy creator content to multicam brand shoots alongside a videographer and growth strategists. Output includes performance marketing ads built for paid social workflows, organic platform content, and premium cuts tied to celebrity partnerships and dermatologist collaborations. A typical day involves pulling selects from UGC submissions, building multiple hook variations from the same source footage, and iterating based on live performance data.

Key Responsibilities

• Edit performance creative for paid social channels with a focus on hook structure, retention pacing, and conversion, using platform-native formats for Meta, TikTok, and YouTube.
• Turn UGC from creator partnerships and patient testimonials into ads that read as organic content rather than produced spots.
• Build multiple cut variations and hook tests from shared source footage and b-roll to support rapid creative testing cycles within the post-production workflow.
• Handle multicam and interview edits from higher-end shoots, including color, audio mix, and sound design, maintaining a consistent brand look across channels.
• Create motion graphics and lightweight animation using Adobe After Effects or comparable tools, and apply AI tools to accelerate asset generation and visual effects work.
• Translate performance feedback and engagement data into concrete editorial decisions that improve future creative output.

What You Bring

• Proven experience editing paid social and performance marketing creative, with a portfolio that shows results across direct-to-consumer or digital video production.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and After Effects, with working knowledge of color correction and audio post tools.
• Fluency in organic social editing styles across Instagram, TikTok, and YouTube, including platform trends, pacing conventions, and native formats.
• Agency or in-house growth team background is a strong advantage.
• Comfort with AI-assisted tools used in modern post-production workflows for effects, cleanup, or asset creation.
