VFX artist

The Pink House is hiring a VFX Artist based in Mississauga, ON. This role sits within the post-production pipeline, responsible for compositing, visual effects work, and delivering polished VFX shots that meet the technical and creative requirements of each project. It is a good fit for a mid-level VFX artist who is comfortable working independently and contributing to a small, close-knit production team.

About the Role

The VFX Artist at The Pink House works across the full post-production workflow, from initial brief through to final delivery of VFX assets. The team is small, which means this person will have direct involvement in decisions that affect the look and quality of the finished work rather than being one node in a large VFX pipeline. Day to day, expect a mix of shot work, client feedback rounds, and internal reviews with the broader creative team.

Key Responsibilities

• Delivering completed VFX shots that meet project specs across multiple production types, including commercial and short-form content.
• Tracking shot progress through the post-production pipeline and flagging any technical issues early in the review process.
• Preparing and organizing VFX assets to ensure clean handoff between departments and efficient versioning throughout production.
• Participating in client-facing review sessions and incorporating feedback accurately into revised VFX deliverables.
• Maintaining a tidy and organized workstation and project file structure in line with studio standards.
• Managing personal workload and deadlines without requiring close supervision, keeping multiple shots moving simultaneously.

What You Bring

• A minimum of 2 years of professional VFX experience in a production or post-production environment.
• A working knowledge of industry-standard compositing and VFX software used in current post-production workflows.
• A portfolio or reel that demonstrates completed VFX work across real productions.
• Strong time management and the ability to prioritize shot work under production deadlines.
• Experience working within a small team structure where each person carries a meaningful portion of the output.
