Project Type: Animation
Job Date: Full Time
Compensation: See Post

Mass FX Media, LLC is hiring a Motion Graphics + VFX Producer at their studio in Wheat Ridge, CO, just outside Denver. This role sits inside the post-production workflow, managing motion graphics and visual effects projects from initial brief through final delivery, using shot tracking systems like ftrack or ShotGrid to keep multiple deliverables moving in parallel. It’s the right fit for a producer who knows the animation and VFX pipeline from the inside and can hold client relationships and creative deadlines at the same time.

About the Role

Mass FX Media works across a range of project types including live action edits, explainer videos, title design, data visualizations, and graphics packages for clients that include documentary and narrative filmmakers, showrunners, and major brands. The Motion Graphics + VFX Producer owns the full project lifecycle, from budget tracking and artist scheduling to QC rounds and client presentations. On any given day, that means managing editor timelines, routing feedback between clients and creative directors, and keeping scope from drifting without breaking the relationship.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end post-production workflow for motion graphics and VFX projects, including shot tracking across multiple deliverables using ftrack.
  • Oversee artist schedules, editor assignments, and project deadlines to keep the pipeline moving without bottlenecks.
  • Serve as the primary client-facing contact, managing expectations and project scope with clarity throughout the creative process.
  • Track and actualize project budgets from kickoff through delivery, flagging variances before they become problems.
  • Coordinate online and in-person review sessions, collecting and communicating feedback between clients and creative directors.
  • Act as quality control on all rounds before they go to the client, ensuring deliverables meet both technical and creative standards.

What You Bring

  • 5 or more years producing or coordinating post-production projects with a specific focus on animation, motion design, or visual effects.
  • Hands-on experience with shot tracking tools such as ftrack, ShotGrid, or equivalent spreadsheet-based systems for managing multiple deliverables.
  • Working knowledge of the VFX pipeline and familiarity with Nuke, After Effects, and Cinema 4D or comparable software.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain budgets for film or video projects, including actual-versus-estimate reconciliation.
  • Proficiency with Google Drive, Google Sheets or Excel with formulas, and Slack for day-to-day communication and scheduling.
  • Experience on an Apple workstation with strong OS X proficiency required.

Why This Role

Mass FX Media is a specialized animation studio with a client list that spans independent filmmakers and large brand marketing teams, which means the work is varied and the stakes are real on both ends. This position comes with a salary range of $100,000 to $110,000 plus a benefits package that includes paid time off starting at 12 days in year one. The role is hybrid, with four days on-site in Wheat Ridge and one remote day per week.
