Videographer and Video Editor

Hazen and Sawyer is hiring a Videographer and Video Editor to join their in-house creative video team in Denver, Colorado. This role sits squarely in corporate video production and post-production workflow, generating everything from long-form mini-documentaries and client case studies to social-ready cutdowns for an employee-owned engineering firm focused on water and environmental infrastructure. It is a strong fit for a working shooter-editor who is comfortable owning a shoot from gear prep through final delivery and has the editorial chops to make technical subject matter land with a general audience.

About the Role

The Videographer and Video Editor works inside Hazen and Sawyer’s dedicated video team alongside producers, animators, and engineers, contributing to both corporate communications and client-facing project content. Day-to-day work alternates between field production, capturing interviews and b-roll at water treatment facilities and project sites, and editorial sessions in Adobe Premiere Pro building rough and fine cuts from script to picture lock. Regional and national travel runs up to 20 percent, so this is a production role that gets you out of the office regularly.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate camera independently or within a small crew to capture professional interviews and b-roll, managing framing, lighting, exposure, and location audio on set.
• Edit across multiple formats in Adobe Premiere Pro, including long-form documentary-style pieces, corporate explainers, and short-form social media cutdowns.
• Translate complex engineering and scientific content into clear narrative video through editing structure, pacing, and sound design.
• Apply color correction and audio finishing, and integrate motion graphics or visual effects elements to meet brand standards.
• Maintain organized media asset libraries and project file structures that support a collaborative post-production workflow across the team.
• Operate as a certificated drone pilot under FAA Part 107 to capture aerial footage on project sites as needed.

What You Bring

• A minimum of six years of professional experience spanning video production, videography, and video editing in corporate, documentary, or technical production environments.
• Proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and the broader Adobe Creative Suite, with After Effects familiarity considered a real asset.
• A current FAA Part 107 Remote Pilot Certificate, which is a firm requirement for this position.
• Demonstrated ability to shoot and edit interview-driven content with strong attention to audio quality, color, and narrative pacing.
• A demo reel and at least one full-length video sample showing your editorial work, submitted with your application along with a description of your specific role on that piece.
